EMA began conducting weekly wastewater sample collection activities for this facility in 2009.  Due to an inadequate treatment system design and failing regulatory non-compliance ADESA corporate requested EMA to evaluate the facility and wastewater treatment systems (car and heavy duty truck).   EMA evaluated the influent characteristics, performed several treatment system upgrades, implemented a custom designed chemical precipitant, and returned the facility to compliance.  EMA , under its’ affiliate company REM-CON, designed and replaced the existing wastewater treatment system with a new system in 2014.  REM-CON continues to operate the treatment system and perform regulatory reporting and compliance assistance.
