Confidential Client, Niles, Michigan

EMA conducted a RCRA Facility Investigation (RFI) to delineate the suspected extent of groundwater contamination at this company's Facility located in Niles, Michigan.  The objective of the investigation was to determine the existence of a suspected groundwater contaminant plume associated with the suspected release of metals (copper and cadmium) previously identified during a Phase II ESA.

EMA installed an additional down gradient groundwater monitoring well and collected groundwater samples using state-of-the-art quiescent sampling techniques to achieve turbid-free groundwater samples.  The results were presented to the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) refuting the presence of the groundwater contaminant plume.
